I've been exactly where you are right now.
Back in 2010, I was working full-time, raising young kids, managing a household, and juggling countless other responsibilities. It felt like I was barely surviving each day.
So, I've experienced all of this firsthand, and I genuinely understand what you're going through.
I was a hot mess, and truthfully, I wore that as a badge of honor. But beneath that, I felt unhappy. I was tired and unfocused and avoided mirrors while shying away from being in front of the camera.
However, I had a couple of a-ha moments.
The first one occurred when I was tagged on Facebook with an embarrassingly horrible picture. Can you guess which picture is my embarrassing pic?
I gradually incorporated habits and routines that allowed me to control my hot zones and finally prioritize transforming my lifestyle.
These were simple things, like planning our weekly meals – nothing extravagant, just family favorites like tacos and spaghetti. But I documented them, so I was aware of what we would be eating and how much.
Next, I began prepping those meals in advance. Back then, I didn't even realize I was doing meal prep; I just knew that preparing meals in advance was essential to staying on track with a healthy diet. If not, I would go right back to grabbing take-out.
Most importantly, I started tracking my food intake. I didn't obsess over every calorie or restrict any food group. No, I ate what I wanted, but I maintained mindfulness when it came to portion sizes.
Incredible changes began to unfold once these habits and routines were in place.
Over the course of a year, I lost 40 pounds! All through putting in place simple, doable habits!
